Rules and Expectations

Private Club

The Adventurers’ Club of Los Angeles is a private social club open to members and guests only. The club can refuse entry to any person for any reason. However, we are very welcoming, and if you aren’t a jerk, you’ll probably have the time of your life. We have certain traditional policies that should be noted:

  • No discussions of politics or religion.
  • Excessive drinking is frowned upon.
  • Maintain silence during the programs. Turn your cell phones on silent.
  • Q&A at the end of the program is for questions, not an opportunity to tell your own story.

Dress Code

The Adventurers’ Club maintains a business casual dress code. Feel free to dress up. Shorts, t-shirts, and flip flops are not allowed.

Illness

If you are sick, please don’t come to the club. Our members and guests are widely traveled and probably bring in sickness from all over the globe. Let’s not pour gas on that fire. Please stay home and get better- come back when you are well. If you appear to be visibly sick, we will take your temperature with a non-contact thermometer and may ask you to leave. This is at the sole discretion of the President.
