Mountaineering: Risk and Rescue with Dylan Kilby

At the Adventurers’ Club, the depth of an adventure is often queried with the question “When did you bleed?” Well, this story qualifies…definitely bleeding involved!

Dylan Kilby has spent much of his life in the wilderness. From a young age, he has been an avid outdoorsman. Hiking and mountaineering, he often spends his wilderness time alone. This can be risky, as he discovered one unfortunate day. Dylan will discuss his drive for solo adventure, the great incident, and dealing with self-doubt and PTSD to overcome and continue to live the life he chooses. He has some takeaway lessons to carry forward into future adventures and he plans to share some of this insight with us.

Dylan is passionate about outdoor education and mountaineering. Heavy metal and SNES video games are also high on his list!
