James Wilson’s Motorcycle

This motorbike belonged Captain James Goodrich Wilson 1921-1956, Adventurers Club Member #604. The captain was once a “Flying Tiger”. He also was the leader of the “Good Humor” Squadron of the Berlin Airlift which ran 186 missions. Later he played himself in the 1950 film “The Big Lift” describing the events of the Airlift. Captain Jim also ran the Berlin Blockade on this motorbike. Later he rode this same bike through twenty-five countries. Sadly, Jim went “On the Great Adventure” at the young age of 35.
