A Life in Counterintelligence and Global Risk with Gina L. Osborn

Livestream

Gina L. Osborn is a retired FBI executive, Army veteran, and former Chief Safety and Security Officer for the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority. Her career has taken her across continents and into some of the world’s most complex and high-risk security environments.

Her journey began in Europe during the final years of the Cold War, where she served as an Army counterintelligence agent in Belgium and Germany, working high-profile espionage cases. Often deploying on only hours’ notice, she operated under deep cover in a range of identities—each assignment requiring precision, adaptability, and the ability to anticipate threats before they fully emerged.

She went on to spend 22 years with the FBI, leading investigations that spanned Southern California, Southeast Asia, India, and Australia, coordinating with international partners on organized crime, counterterrorism, and global cyber threats.

From dismantling cross-border criminal networks in Asia to directing joint cyber operations with foreign governments, Gina’s work has consistently placed her at the intersection of geography, risk, and rapid decision-making.

Today, her global experiences inform her work as a keynote speaker, where she shares insights drawn from a life shaped by constant movement, shifting geopolitical landscapes, and leadership under pressure in environments far from familiar ground.
