Join YouTube adventurer and National Geographic host Eva zu Beck in conversation with Reymundo Perez about her national bestseller, The Wilder Way.
About the Book
This world-expanding memoir traces Eva’s journey from a high-flying job and a picture-perfect marriage to becoming a solo adventurer travelling to some of the world’s most far-flung locations. A lone horse trek in Mongolia, COVID lockdown on a desert island in Yemen and overlanding across the US in an 18-year-old truck. Eva has grown an online community of nearly 5 million and has found love where she wasn’t looking. But the shift from a rooted life to a transient one is far from straightforward and the book explores how Eva grapples with the tension between her wanderlust and a longing for somewhere to call home.
Most recently, Eva has directed and hosted two series of Superskilled, a National Geographic series that explores extraordinary human skills in some of the world’s most remote locations. The first series won her the Wildscreen Panda Award for On-screen Talent and the second series has been nominated for four Emmy awards. Eva’s Youtube channel won the People’s Choice award for Channel of the Year at the Outdoor Media Summit. Eva’s debut book The Wilder Way: The Inspiring Travel Memoir of Adventure, Freedom and an Uncharted Life is a US National Bestseller. In 2025, Eva zu Beck was part of the Superskilled expedition team organized by lead producer Dan Baird, a member of the Adventurers’ Club of Los Angeles. The expedition carried the 130th Expedition Flag authorized by the club in its 105-year history, a distinction recognizing expeditions that advance exploration and human knowledge.
