Join the Adventurers’ Club for a special screening of The Donn of Tiki, the acclaimed documentary on Don the Beachcomber and the origins of tiki culture. Following our sold-out Tiki Night, this is the perfect encore, featuring a live Q&A with directors Alex Lamb and Max Well.
The Donn of Tiki tells the larger-than-life story of Ernest Gantt, better known as Don the Beachcomber, the mysterious adventurer whose singular vision for escapism and elusive cocktails became the phenomenon the world would eventually know as tiki. Using rare archival footage, inventive animation, and expert interviews, the film separates fact from exaggeration to reveal the man behind the myth.
Following the screening, directors Alex Lamb and Max Well will join us for a live Q&A, offering behind-the-scenes insight into the making of the film and the research that brought Don the Beachcomber’s story of life.
Exclusive movie merchandise will also be available for purchase before and after the program.
Runtime: 99 minutes
Includes: Post-screening Q&A with directors Alex Lamb and Max Well.
