Solo Travel Across Seven Continents with Eleya Avery-Ault

Livestream

Eleya Avery-Ault’s most recent trip was an expedition to Antarctica just one week after her 24th birthday, marking her 7th continent and 29th country. She has lived in 5 countries and has been a diver since age 12, diving around California, Australia and New Zealand. Eleya looks forward to sharing her experiences and challenges as a young solo female traveler, along with the insights she has gained (both what to do and NOT to do) and how she plans to keep the adventurers spirit in her future career planning and aspirations.

Eleya started out by traveling with her parents as a child sparking a deep love for exploration. Now she has become a seasoned solo traveler organizing, planning, budgeting and arranging her own travel.  She spent two months navigating from Madrid, Spain to Athens, Greece traveling by bus, small planes and boats. Her trip had her crossing borders on foot and to remote areas of Slovenia, Croatia and Albania. A recent solo drive from Delaware to California over a three-week period allowed her to camp in 6 national parks and several state parks.

Eleya Avery-Ault is a 2025 graduate of the University of Delaware with degrees in Criminal Justice – Law & Society and Sociology, with a minor in French. She was a member of the Honors College and part of the Global Scholars program allowing her to study abroad. She studied in Athens, Greece, Martinique and Budapest, Hungary.

This program was organized by Scott Ault #1256.
