Sharon Lobel #1247 lives by the motto “Every photograph has a story, every photograph tells a story, and every photograph was an adventure!”
Sharon’s most recent adventure was a two-month South Seas adventure filled with ocean exploration, cultural immersion, and historical discovery on which she carried an Adventurers’ Club Expedition Flag.
From learning about the Indonesian people to venturing into the depths of the Valley with the Hubula (Dani) and Yali tribes in Papua, and then crossing over into Papua New Guinea to live with the Sepik River people, this journey was truly life-changing.
Imagine swimming alongside a majestic blue whale, coming face-to-face with a white-tip shark, or diving through vibrant coral reefs teeming with tropical fish – these were just a few of the unforgettable experiences. Exploring Indonesia’s oldest temple sent chills down her spine, as she stood amidst the awe-inspiring stone relics of ancient times. Living with the tribal people of Papua and traversing the Sepik River with the Papua New Guinea people was an expedition in itself.
