Attunement Across Cultures: From South Pacific to South America with Aasha LaCount

Join Aasha LaCount, roller-skater and ISEI Emotional Intelligence Facilitator who has dedicated over a decade of work to emotional intelligence and human connection, for stories from her journeys exploring cultures around the world and the parallels she observed among them. During her travels she encountered balian healers and the tradition of taksu in Bali; Andean Q’ero medicine people and Paqo shamans in Peru; Thai forest monks in the forests of Thailand; and ceremonial practitioners connected to Hopi and Apache traditions in the American Southwest, where she observed traditions passed down through generations.

Along the way she began noticing similar parallels across cultures: traditions separated by oceans and centuries sometimes describe similar ideas through different languages, rituals, and myths. Drawing from these encounters, Aasha considers how these experiences shaped her thinking about emotional awareness, leadership, and personal balance. She shares how these reflections helped her reconnect with clarity, joy, and a deeper sense of purpose.
