In the course of her 68 years on this planet, Edna has had the opportunity to visit over seventy countries. This love for travel began at an early age when her cold warrior father’s assignments allowed her to live in Germany and Ethiopia. As an adult, Edna chose the same path as her father, spending twelve years in West Africa and Europe. After retiring from the government, a contracting position allowed her to add significantly to her country count, finally seeing Asia, Latin America and more of Africa than she probably ever wanted to see.
Please join us as we learn about the day Edna learned what her father really did for a living. She will share tales of culture shock, despite her belief that she was a sophisticated world traveler. She will share the story of the day she surpassed her father for countries visited.
How it started
How its going
After graduating with an Associate’s degree in secretarial science, Edna embarked on a 35 year career with the federal government, unknowingly following in her father’s footsteps. Her retirement has taken her to Florida (because that’s what government retirees do) and Nevada, where she currently lives.
