Mike Clark - Strange Places:
Chernobyl, Hezbollah Land, & Mexico’s Narco Saints

Journey through three Strange Places from across the globe; Chernobyl, Ukraine the site of the worlds worst nuclear disaster; to the terrorist museum and tourist site of Mleeta in Hezbollah controlled Southern Lebanon; and finally down south of the border, to Mexico, where a drug war continues and has taken over 130,000 lives in 11 years. Here in Mexico, Narco Saints have evolved and have rapidly and publically expanded from small following’s before the war, to one of the fastest growing religious movements in the region.

For 30 years Mike Clark has traveled to some of the most unusual and dangerous places in the world. He holds degrees in Anthropology from the University of Colorado focusing on Tribal Cultures and Folk Religion. His interests have put him on every continent and in over 100 countries.

He is currently working to finish his book "the Goat’s Horn," which is an off the grid adventure guide to locations such as; MS controlled areas of El Salvador, Central Africa, Narco Land Mexico, Bangladesh’s Ship Breaking Yards, Hezbollah controlled Lebanon; Kashmir; Niger’s Tuareg controlled deserts; and into Haitian Vodou.

Tonight he will take us through the easy accessibility to these 3 unique places.
