Adventurers' Club Publications

For over 50 years, The Club has published the monthly magazine "The Adventurers' Club News". It contains stories of adventure submitted by members and details of club events and guest speakers. RECORD CLIMB UP POPOCATEPETL by John Booth, #860 John has traveled the world from Timbuktu to Singapore and Kukukukus, New Guinea. This story recounts his climb of Popocatepetl in Mexico. SURVIVAL BY THE SLENDEREST OF THREADS by Paul MacCready, #959 Paul is not always designing human powered aircraft. Sometimes he does more mundane things such as hiking and mountain climbing. Here he tells about a harrowing experience mountain climbing. THE BORELLI STORY by Frank Haigler, #825 Frank Haigler is a very good storyteller. He always has an interesting story to tell -- this is one of them. EAT RATS! by Chuck Jonkey, #1026 Chuck travels around the world collecting sounds, instruments and music for his independent record label. SOUTH PACIFIC LANDFALL by Ed Boden, #659 Ed spent 13 years sailing around the world on a 25 foot sloop. TELEPHOMANIA by Frank Haigler, #825 Besides being an excellent storyteller, Frank is also a collector of military equipment.

Starting with the January 2006 issue, Robert Williscroft #1116 has taken over the reins as magazine editor. Bob Williams has done a tremendous job for the club. He is retiring after almost 30 years of service to the club and the monthly magazine.
